Welcome to the German Clinical Trials Register!
The German Clinical Trials Register (German CTR) is currently being developed. It will be an open access online register of clinical trials conducted in Germany, which will allow all users to search, register and share information on trials of any health care intervention.
The German CTR will be designed to comply with the requirements of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and will be developed in close collaboration with the international platform for trials registers (ICTRP) conducted by the world health organization (WHO).
Our goals are to
- provide a complete, up-to-date overview of trials conducted in Germany
- allow easy-to-use and free of charge access for all users
- provide a unique access point to current trials in Germany
- inform the public about ongoing trials in German and English language
- provide the basis for scientific analysis of clinical research in Germany
- enhance quality in medical research in Germany
- allow sponsors to search for related trials when planning a new clinical trial
